About

Webpage Section Screenshot lets you capture an entire webpage and export it split by logical sections - automatically detected from the page's headings, semantic HTML elements, or your own CSS selectors.

Unlike other screenshot tools that give you one massive image, Webpage Section Screenshot analyzes the page structure and lets you choose exactly which sections to export, and how to group them. Perfect for documenting long reports, saving individual sections of articles, or archiving specific parts of a dashboard.

Features:
• Detect sections by headings (h1-h6), semantic HTML (section, article, main, nav, etc.), custom CSS selectors, or all combined
• Select/deselect individual sections with checkboxes
• Merge or split sections into export groups - each group becomes one image file
• Export as PNG or JPEG at original resolution
• Multiple groups automatically bundled into a ZIP file
• Full-page export option for the entire page as a single image
• Real-time progress indicator during capture
• Dark/Light/Auto theme support - adapts to your system preferences
• Clean, intuitive interface that stays out of your way

How it works:
1. Click the extension icon and choose a detection strategy
2. Hit "Scan Page Sections" - the extension analyzes the page DOM
3. Review detected sections, select the ones you want, use split/merge to group them
4. Click Export - sections are cropped from a full-page capture at original quality

Permissions explained:
• activeTab - to access the current page for screenshot capture
• scripting - to inject the section detection script that reads DOM structure
• downloads - to save your exported files (PNG, JPEG, ZIP) to your computer
• storage - to remember your preferred detection strategy, format, and theme

Privacy:
No data collection. No ads. No account required. No telemetry. Fully offline after install.
