About

Picture-in-Picture Anywhere lets you turn any browser tab into a floating PiP window so you can keep it visible while you work in other tabs or apps. Choose between full‑tab PiP or select a precise region of the page to follow. It’s built for quick multitasking: email, dashboards, docs, tickets, chats, or any web app you want to keep in view.

Key features
    • Full‑screen tab PiP from the extension menu
    • Free‑area selection: draw a rectangle and show only that region
    • Works on most websites with a single click
    • Lightweight and minimal, no intrusive UI

How it works
    • Click the extension icon to select an area.
    • Or right‑click the icon and choose “Full‑screen PiP.”
    • If Chrome asks for a user gesture, just click once on the page.

Why it’s useful
    • Keep a live dashboard visible while browsing other tabs
    • Monitor inboxes, chats, or ticket queues
    • Follow a specific part of the page without distractions

Limitations
    • Chrome requires a user gesture to start PiP if none is already active.
    • Internal pages like chrome:// cannot be captured.
    • The minimum PiP window size is controlled by Chrome.

FAQ

Q: Why do I need to click the page sometimes?
A: Chrome requires a user gesture to start Picture‑in‑Picture when no PiP is active. One click on the page is enough.

Q: Can I make the PiP window smaller?
A: Chrome enforces a minimum size. You can select a smaller region to display more compactly.

Q: Does it work on every website?
A: It works on most standard https pages. Browser‑internal pages (chrome://, extensions) cannot be captured.

Q: Does it record or upload anything?
A: No. The capture is local to your browser and only used to render the PiP window.

Q: Can I capture audio too?
A: Not in this version; only video is captured to keep it simple and lightweight.
