How it works

Open any Upwork job — in the job feed, the modal preview, or the full details page. Click Scan Client. BidLynx analyses over 20 signals from the job posting and client profile and returns a score in seconds.

What BidLynx checks

- Payment verification status
- Client hire rate and total lifetime spend
- How many stars the client gives to freelancers
- Number of open jobs and active contracts
- Proposals already received and how fast they are coming in
- Invites sent by the client
- How long ago the job was posted and when the client was last active
- Budget vs experience level — does the rate actually match what they are asking for
- Description quality — vague scope, downplayed complexity, scope creep language
- Member age and review history
- Agency and spam patterns — suspiciously low spend across many job postings

Three risk levels

🟢 Low Risk (65–100) — Strong signals. Safe to invest time in a proposal.
🟡 Medium Risk (40–64) — Mixed signals. Read the concerns before applying.
🔴 High Risk (0–39) — Clear red flags. Proceed with caution or skip entirely.
