About

ChromeScroller turns your cursor into a precision DOM inspector and screenshot tool — all in one click.

── HOW IT WORKS ──
1. Click the ChromeScroller icon in your toolbar
2. A camera cursor appears — hover over any element on the page
3. Scroll UP with your mouse wheel to select parent elements, scroll DOWN to go deeper into the DOM tree
4. Click to capture a screenshot of the highlighted element

── SMART SCROLLABLE CAPTURE ──
When you click a scrollable element (like a file list, data table, or long panel), ChromeScroller automatically:
• Scrolls through the entire content from top to bottom
• Captures each strip with pixel-perfect DPI awareness (Retina / HiDPI ready)
• Stitches all strips into one seamless full-height PNG
• Hides sticky and fixed headers so they don't repeat across strips

── HIGHLIGHTS ──
✓ Yellow highlight = regular element (single screenshot)
✓ Blue highlight = scrollable container (full scroll-stitch capture)
✓ Camera cursor shows exactly what will be captured
✓ Works on SPAs, React apps, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Notion, and more
✓ Saves directly to your Downloads folder with a timestamped filename
✓ Right-click anywhere to stop capture mode instantly
✓ No data sent anywhere — 100% local, no tracking, no analytics

── PERMISSIONS ──
• activeTab — reads the page DOM to detect elements
• scripting — injects the capture tool into the active tab
• downloads — saves the screenshot PNG to your Downloads folder
• tabs — required by Chrome to call captureVisibleTab for screenshots
