Location Parsing: Automatically extracts Building and Room numbers (e.g., "SW1-1021") and puts them in the "Location" field of the event, so you can click for maps.

Date Range Logic: Identifies exactly which weeks a class runs. If a holiday skips a class, you can easily delete that single instance, but the extension sets up the correct start and end dates for the series.


📖 How to Use
Install the myBCIT Schedule Exporter extension.
Log in to my.bcit.ca and navigate to Student Self Service > Student Detail Schedule.
You will see two new buttons appear at the top of your schedule:

⚪ Download .ics File
Select your Mode:
Term-Long: Best for the start of the semester.
This Week: Best for checking specific weeks.
Click & Go: Watch as your schedule fills up automatically!
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this work for all BCIT programs? A: It works for any program that uses the standard "Student Detail Schedule" grid view on my.bcit.ca. This covers the vast majority of Full-Time and Part-Time programs.

Q: Is my password safe? A: Yes. This extension never sees or asks for your BCIT password. It simply reads the text already visible on your screen. If you use Google Calendar Sync, you sign in via Google's official OAuth secure login window.

Q: What if my schedule changes? A: If your schedule changes in the middle of the term, you can simply delete the old events and re-run the extension, or use the "This Week" mode to update specific weeks.

Q: Is this an official BCIT tool? A: No, this is a student-made tool created to help fellow students. It is not officially endorsed by BCIT, but it is built to be safe, secure, and helpful.
