The MCP SuperAssistant Extension was created to bridge the gap between AI platforms like Perplexity, ChatGPT,  Grok etc. and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools. While these AI platforms are powerful for general knowledge and reasoning, they lack the ability to execute specific tools or access external systems directly. This extension solves that problem by providing a seamless way to detect, execute, and integrate MCP tools within these platforms.
