About
Tab Memory Sorter helps you organize your browser tabs by identifying which tabs are using the most memory. With a single click, automatically sort all tabs in your current window from highest to lowest memory usage. Key Features • One-click tab sorting by memory usage • Automatically detects memory consumption for each tab • Sorts tabs from highest to lowest memory (left to right) • Fast parallel processing for quick results • Works with all standard web pages How It Works Simply click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar, and Tab Memory Sorter will: 1. Analyze memory usage for all open tabs in the current window 2. Sort them automatically from highest to lowest memory consumption 3. Rearrange tabs so the most memory-intensive tabs appear on the left Perfect For • Developers monitoring resource usage • Power users managing many tabs • Anyone wanting to identify memory-heavy websites • Users who want to quickly find and close resource-intensive tabs Privacy & Security Tab Memory Sorter only accesses memory metrics locally on your device. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted. The extension requires the debugger permission to access Chrome's performance metrics, which is necessary to measure memory usage. All processing happens entirely on your computer. Note: Some tabs (like chrome:// pages) cannot be analyzed and will be placed at the end of the sorted list. The extension shows a brief "debugging this browser" message while analyzing tabs - this is a Chrome security notification and is normal. Feedback: If you find this extension useful, please consider leaving a review. For issues or feature requests, please contact the developer.
