About

This chrome extension was developed to aid cyber security researchers correctly identify threats by sha256 hash. The extension will go through the html content and identify any sha256 hashes and perform lookups on the hashes to return results to the user if it is malicious or not. It will also highlight any sha256 hashes red if they do return malicious, accompanied with a tooltip that will display what type of malware the sha256 hash is associated to. This will aid in researchers understanding if a sha256 hash is associated to malware without the user needing to look it up, saving them time.
