About
Drift helps you stay aware of how you spend your time online. HOW IT WORKS Drift tracks how long you spend on each website. When you cross your chosen threshold (default: 20 minutes), a gentle check-in appears asking: "Is this intentional?" You choose how to respond: - "Yes, continue" — keep browsing, Drift backs off for a while - "Thanks, I'll wrap up" — resets the timer for that site FEATURES - Tracks time per domain (not per page) - Customizable threshold (1-120 minutes) - Three intervention styles: Gentle, Firm, or Nuclear - See your "deep dives" summary in the popup - Ignore specific domains (great for work tools) - All data stays local — nothing sent to any server WHY DRIFT? Unlike site blockers, Drift doesn't restrict you. It simply asks if you're being intentional. Sometimes the answer is yes — and that's fine. The goal is awareness, not punishment. PRIVACY Drift stores all data locally in your browser. No accounts, no tracking, no data collection. Your browsing stays yours. KNOWN LIMITATIONS - Intervention popups may be delayed by up to 30 seconds on inactive tabs due to browser throttling - Time tracking resets when you close the browser FEEDBACK Found a bug or have a suggestion? We'd love to hear from you.
