About

BasePost adds a “BasePost” button on x.com that lets you create an on-chain receipt for an X post on the Base network. It captures the post URL and visible text and prepares a transaction you can confirm in MetaMask. After confirmation, you can open the transaction on BaseScan and view the stored fields under “Decode Input Data.”

**Requirements:

Must have MetaMask extension installed and a wallet connected to the Base network.
Note: This extension does not automatically publish to base.app. It records an on-chain reference (URL + text) that can be verified and shared via BaseScan. 

**Test instructions:

 - Install MetaMask extension and create/import any wallet.
 - Switch MetaMask to the Base network.
 - Open any post on x.com (a URL containing /status/).
 - Click the injected “BasePost” button.
 - Confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
 - After confirmation, click “Open BaseScan.”
 - On BaseScan, click “Decode Input Data” to view the stored fields (tweetUrl and text).

**How It Works:  
1. Install BasePost extension in your browser.  
2. Open X.com or Twitter.com and select a post.  
3. Launch BasePost to capture and preview the post link.  
4. Authorize the mirrored transaction via MetaMask securely.  
5. Track the transaction and verify it on BaseScan.  
6. Optionally add a small ETH support fee.  
7. Access and manage your mirrored posts easily from the UI.  

Privacy: - No personal data collected. Only essential post URLs and transaction metadata are processed securely within your browser.
