Better Instagram: Stop Scrolling helps you take control of Instagram Web by removing common distractions and making the feed less “sticky.” It lets you hide low-value sections (ads, suggestions, side panels, etc.), visually de-emphasize content you don’t want to engage with, and optionally track time spent—so you can stay focused when you open Instagram for a purpose.

What it does:
Declutters the interface so your attention stays on what you actually came to see.
Reduces “infinite scroll” traps by hiding or limiting recommended content.
Adds optional focus tools like grayscale and watch-time tracking to encourage mindful browsing.

How to use:
Install the extension.
Open Instagram on desktop.
Click the extension icon to open the popup.
Turn features on/off based on your preference—changes apply immediately.

Privacy & data:
The extension runs locally in your browser.
It does not sell data and does not transmit your browsing content to a server.
Any counters/stats (if enabled) are stored locally for the extension to function.
