Changelog
- May 18, 2026description
Bugspace for Jira Cloud is a Chrome extension designed to help QA testers, developers, and software teams detect possible duplicate bug reports while creating issues in Jira Cloud. The extension adds a duplicate-detection side panel beside Jira Cloud’s Create Bug modal. As the user enters a bug report, Bugspace analyzes the report content and compares it with existing bug reports from the connected Jira project. It then displays possible duplicate or related bug reports so users can review them before submitting a new issue. Bugspace helps teams reduce duplicate reports, improve bug tracking quality, and save time during QA testing and issue triage. Key features: • Adds a duplicate-detection panel inside Jira Cloud • Works while creating bug reports in Jira • Compares the current bug report with existing reports • Shows possible duplicate bug reports with similarity scores • Supports text-based and image-related bug report analysis • Uses a FastAPI backend for duplicate detection • Debounces requests to avoid unnecessary backend calls while typing • Designed for QA testers, developers, and thesis/system evaluation use Why install Bugspace? Duplicate bug reports can make issue tracking harder, slow down QA workflows, and create confusion for development teams. Bugspace helps users identify similar or duplicate bug reports before submitting a new issue, making the bug reporting process more organized and efficient. This extension is intended for use with Jira Cloud and requires access to the Bugspace backend service configured by the project team.
