How It Works:

Twitch Guardian securely connects to Twitch chat and monitors messages in the background. It triggers alerts based on your configured settings. All your settings, keywords, Twitch token, and Google AI API key (if provided) are stored securely in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted elsewhere, except when necessary to interact with Twitch or Google AI APIs on your behalf.

*Important Notes:

The chat message highlighting feature relies directly on Twitch's website code structure. Frequent updates by Twitch may cause this specific feature to temporarily break until the extension can be updated.

The AI Explanation (Pro) feature requires you to obtain and enter your own API key from the Google AI platform (Gemini). You are responsible for any usage costs associated with your key (though Google offers generous free tiers).
