Long AI chats are powerful—until they become an endless scroll. After dozens of turns, it’s hard to find an earlier message, locate a specific code snippet or image result, or jump back and return to where you were.
ChatOutline adds an outline sidebar to supported chat pages. It turns long message streams into a navigable, searchable structure—so you can quickly locate previous messages without manual scrolling.

Outline (TOC): automatically lists conversation entries
Pair (Q+A) and Turn (each message) modes
Click to Jump + Highlight: jump to any entry and briefly highlight it
Search: filter the outline by keywords with selectable scope
Preview (fast) / First N chars / Full text (experimental)
Reading progress: shows “Now X / total Y”
Back / Forward: scroll-position history to quickly return to your previous spot
Image awareness: detects image content and shows img / img×N badges in the outline
Hotkey: Alt + O to toggle the outline
