Soaring high against a clear, deep blue sky are two elegant Australian White Ibises (Threskiornis molucca), effortlessly gliding on their broad, white wings. The light filters through the feathers, illuminating the trailing edge of the wings and making the birds glow against the vast expanse. These wading birds are characterized by their predominantly white plumage and their distinct, naked black heads and necks, which transition smoothly into their long, down-curved black bills. The slight difference in wing position shows the subtle black trailing edges of the wings.
