About

As a developer working locally before pushing to the web, there's one thing that always eats a few seconds of the workflow: Chrome opens local files under file:// instead of http://, so you end up clicking the address bar just to switch it to localhost yourself.

Localhost Automate does that switch for you.

Point it at your local projects folder (like d:\wwwroot) and it'll automatically redirect any file you open under there to its localhost address instead, so opening d:\wwwroot\Some_Project loads as http://localhost/Some_Project right away.

If your projects live in more than one folder, or run on different ports, you can set up multiple folder-to-address mappings instead of just one.

Comments, bug reports and suggestions are always welcome.

Enjoy!
