DevTrace - Network Request Inspector

DevTrace is a developer-focused network inspection tool for Chrome.

It helps developers inspect live page requests, debug API traffic, analyze resource loading behavior, and export selected resources for troubleshooting workflows. The extension supports real-time filtering by domain, status, and type, and it can restore session state after popup reopen or service worker restart.

DevTrace is designed as a developer tool, not a general-purpose data collection product. Captured request data is processed locally in the browser environment, and the extension does not include built-in analytics, telemetry, or a remote upload pipeline.

Permissions are used only to provide user-visible debugging features:
- tabs and activeTab: inspect and navigate the active page during an explicit capture workflow
- webRequest and webNavigation: observe request and navigation activity for the selected target scope
- storage: save local settings, session state, and download markers
- downloads: export JSON and selected resources to the local device
- optional host permissions: requested at runtime for the target scope chosen by the user
