About

⏰ Reminders that find you — the moment you land on the right site.

TriggerNote turns any website into a self-aware sticky note. You write the reminder once, pick the URLs that should trigger it, and forget about it. The next time you open that tab, your note pops up exactly when it's useful.

No more checklists you never check. No more sticky notes around your monitor. No more "I'll remember." Just the right nudge, at the right tab, at the right time.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🎯 HOW IT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

1️⃣ Create a note → give it a title and a message.
2️⃣ Add one or more triggers — URL patterns with simple * wildcards.
3️⃣ Browse normally. The moment a tab's URL matches a trigger, your note slides in as a small, dismissible overlay on the page.

That's the whole product. Fast to set up, invisible until you need it, gone again the second you dismiss it.

💡 WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

▸ Meetings
   Trigger: *meet.google.com*
Note: "Hit record. Share the agenda doc in chat."

▸ Code review
   Trigger: *github.com/*/pull/*
Note: "Check the linked issue. Run the tests locally before approving."

▸ Inbox discipline
   Trigger: *mail.google.com*
Note: "10 minutes max. Reply, archive, or snooze — no scrolling."

▸ Focus mode
   Trigger: *twitter.com* or *x.com* or *reddit.com*
Note: "You said you'd stop. Close the tab."

▸ Client context
   Trigger: *app.notion.so/your-client-workspace*
Note: "Bill this time to project ACME-2024. Use the new template."

▸ Shopping checks
   Trigger: *amazon.com/*
Note: "Do you actually need this? Wait 24 hours."

▸ Standup prep
   Trigger: *linear.app* or *jira.com*
Note: "What did you ship yesterday? What's blocking you today?"

If you can describe a site with a URL pattern, you can put a note on it.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🔒 PRIVACY YOU CAN ACTUALLY VERIFY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Privacy isn't a marketing line here — it's how the product is built.

▸ FREE TIER: zero network requests. Your notes live in your browser's local storage. We don't have them. We can't read them. No account, no email, no telemetry.

▸ URL MATCHING IS LOCAL: every URL you visit is evaluated on your device. The list of sites you set triggers for never leaves your machine. We never see your browsing history.

▸ NO ANALYTICS, NO TRACKING, NO ADS — ever. Not "anonymized," not "aggregated." None.

▸ NO REMOTE CODE: the extension ships with all its logic. We can't push behaviour changes without a Web Store update you can read.

▸ OPTIONAL PRO SYNC: only kicks in if you create an account and turn it on. Your notes sync through our infrastructure (Supabase), encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per account. Payments handled by Stripe — we never see card data.

You can use TriggerNote forever without ever creating an account.

🛠️ WHY IT EXISTS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Productivity apps assume you'll open them. You won't. You'll open Gmail, Slack, GitHub, your CRM, your calendar — the sites you already use — and you'll forget the thing you swore you'd do there.

TriggerNote flips that around. It puts the reminder where the work happens. The right thought, at the right URL, at the right second.

Tiny idea. Surprisingly hard to live without once you have it.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📋 PERMISSIONS — WHY WE ASK
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

▸ "Read and change all your data on all websites"
Required so the overlay can render on the sites you choose triggers for. URLs are matched on-device. We never read page content. We never transmit your browsing.

▸ Storage
To save your notes locally on your device.

▸ Alarms
Only used by Pro sync, to refresh your notes in the background every few minutes. Does nothing if you don't enable Pro.

▸ supabase.co + the TriggerNote site
Only used by Pro: sign-in, sync, and Stripe checkout/portal. Zero network traffic if you stay on the free tier.
