About

Ever merged a PR you only meant to review?

Merge Manners disables merge/squash/rebase buttons on pull requests you didn't create. You can still review, comment, and approve—just not accidentally merge someone else's work. You can still merge PRs from bots.

What it detects:
- Whether you're the PR author
- Whether you've pushed commits to the PR (co-authored = you can merge)
- Bot PRs (Dependabot, Renovate, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Custom bot patterns you configure

If you really need to merge someone's PR, click the extension icon for a 1-minute override.
