About

Image to Prompt Generator — AI Prompt Extractor for Any Image
Turn any image you find online into a ready-to-use AI image prompt — directly from your browser.
Image to Prompt Generator adds a small Analyze button to large images on the websites you browse. Click it, and the extension sends that image for analysis and returns a detailed, structured prompt you can copy and use in your preferred AI image tool.
What it does:
Browse any webpage — blogs, portfolios, Pinterest, DeviantArt, news sites, or anywhere images appear. When page analysis is active, an Analyze button appears on qualifying images. One click generates a descriptive prompt and saves it to your history with a thumbnail, timestamp, and copy button. Export your full prompt history as a text file anytime.
Key features:

Analyze button appears on images as you browse — no drag and drop needed
Prompts saved with thumbnail previews and timestamps
One-click copy per prompt or export all as a text file
History synced to your account via Google sign-in
Works across all websites
30 free analyses per day on a free account
Clean popup workspace to manage and review saved prompts

visual deconstruction —
When you click Analyze on an image, the extension does not simply describe what is visible. It deconstructs the image across multiple visual layers — subject, composition, lighting, color palette, mood, art style, texture, camera angle, and rendering technique — and reconstructs that information as a structured prompt written in the language AI image generators understand.
The result reads the way an artist or prompt engineer would write it: specific, ordered, and reusable. Not "a woman standing outside" but "a woman in a white linen dress standing in soft golden-hour backlight, shallow depth of field, film grain, editorial photography style, muted warm tones."
The goal is a prompt close enough to the original creative intent that feeding it into an AI image generator produces a visually similar result — same mood, same style, same compositional logic.
This makes it useful for:

Recreating a visual style you admire
Understanding how a specific aesthetic is constructed
Building a library of style references as reusable prompts
Learning prompt structure by seeing how real images translate to text

🟢 How to Use
Add this as a dedicated "How to use" section:

Step 1 — Install and sign in
After installing the extension, click the Reverse Prompt icon in your Chrome toolbar. Sign in with your Google account to activate your free workspace. No additional setup needed.
Step 2 — Start page analysis
In the popup, click Start analyzing images. This activates the Analyze button on the current page. The extension scans for qualifying images — large enough and content-relevant — and attaches a small floating button to each one.
Step 3 — Click Analyze on any image
Hover over any image on the page. A small dark ✦ Analyze button appears in the top-left corner of the image. Click it. The button shows "Analyzing" while the image is processed, then "Done" when the prompt is ready.
Step 4 — Copy your prompt
Open the popup. Your new prompt appears at the top of your history list with a thumbnail, timestamp, and a Copy button. Click Copy to send it to your clipboard — ready to paste into any AI image tool.
Step 5 — Export or review later
All prompts stay saved in your history. Use the Export button to download your full prompt list as a plain text file. Use the Website button to view your full history in your account dashboard.
