Extension Security Checker helps Chrome users understand the security signals behind their installed browser extensions.

Many extensions request permissions such as tabs, cookies, history, webRequest, scripting, or all-site access. These permissions can be legitimate, but they may also expose sensitive browser activity when used by untrusted or over-permissioned extensions.

This extension scans installed Chrome extensions locally, explains technical permissions in plain language, highlights sensitive access, and shows which extensions may deserve closer review.
