Slacking

About

Slacking is an AI writing assistant for Slack Web. It helps you draft replies, rewrite messages, and keep control of everything that gets sent.

Open Slack Web and use the Slacking panel beside your conversation. When the composer is empty, click Generate a reply and Slacking will read the current Slack context, decide whether a reply is needed, and return editable draft options. If you are already typing, click Rewrite my draft to get cleaner versions of your message without changing the facts. Optional ghost predictions can suggest the next few words or a short reply while you write.

Use Slacking to:

- Generate a reply for the current Slack conversation, DM, or channel.
- Rewrite the message you are already composing.
- Get optional ghost predictions using recent visible Slack context.
- Choose reply length, style, and emoji level.
- Connect Slack to learn from your own past replies and build a private @you tone profile.
- Copy, insert, or replace drafts, then edit them before sending.

Privacy and control:

- You always send manually.
- Slacking never clicks Send and never posts automatically.
- Slack content is read from Slack Web in your browser.
- When Slack is connected, Slacking may use Slack API access to fetch recent context for the current drafting flow and to learn from your own past replies when you choose Learn.
- AI drafting, rewriting, and prediction requests go through the Slacking backend, which forwards requests to Anthropic Claude.
- Message context is sent only for explicit draft/rewrite actions, enabled ghost predictions, and opt-in tone learning.
- Extension settings are stored locally.
- The extension does not include third-party analytics.
- You can turn off ghost predictions and clear learned tone data.
