Clean thread layout - Every message in the thread is formatted with clear sender, recipient, date, and body text in a readable layout optimized for paper.

Inline image attachments - Image attachments (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP) are embedded directly in the printout below each message, so you can see what was attached without opening separate files.

Attachment file list - A clean list of all attached files appears under each message, so you have a complete record of what was sent.

Quoted text handling - Long quoted reply chains are collapsed to keep the printout focused on the actual conversation.

Print or PDF - The preview page includes a Print button that opens your browser's print dialog. Choose your printer or select "Save as PDF" for a digital copy.


HOW IT WORKS

1. Open any email thread in Gmail.
2. Click the blue print button at the bottom right of the screen.
3. Review the thread summary - message count, attachment count, image count.
4. Toggle options: include inline images, show attachment list.
5. Click "Print Thread" to open the formatted preview.
6. Click "Print / Save as PDF" in the preview page.

Six steps, but in practice it is two clicks: open the panel, hit print.


OPTIONS

Include image attachments inline - When enabled, image files attached to each message are displayed directly in the printout. Turn this off if you only need the text. This setting is remembered between sessions.

Show attachment file list - When enabled, a list of all attached files appears below each message body. Useful for record-keeping. This setting is also saved locally.

Both options default to on. Change them once, and your preference sticks.
