    description
Sherlock is a focused metadata inspector for developers, SEOs, and marketers. Open the popup on any normal webpage to see what the live DOM is actually advertising to search engines and social platforms.

    What you get

Summary — Title & description with character counts, canonical, URL, robots, viewport, and quick previews for primary OG/Twitter images and favicon.
Open Graph — All og:* tags in one place, with image preview when available.
Twitter / X cards — All twitter:* tags, card type highlighted, image preview.
Meta — Language, theme color, feeds, hreflang alternates, web app manifest link, JSON-LD blocks (with optional raw view).
Icons — Full icon & favicon audit: link tags from the page, Chrome’s tab favicon, and a /favicon.ico fallback—each row shows source (DOM vs Chrome vs fallback).
Raw JSON — Export or copy the full normalized payload for debugging or tickets.
    Privacy & permissions

Uses only the active tab when you open the popup—no access to all websites in the background.
No accounts, no analytics, no servers in this extension: inspection runs locally in your browser.
    Limitations

Does not run on restricted pages such as chrome:// URLs, the Chrome Web Store, or some system/PDF views—those pages block extension scripts by design.
