ChromeGuard locks down your browser's security and privacy settings in one click — or lets you fine-tune every detail yourself.

Secure Browsing
- Force HTTPS on all connections
- Encrypt DNS lookups with your choice of provider (AdGuard, Cloudflare, Quad9, Mullvad, dns0.eu)
- Block annoying notification popups

Privacy Protection
- Block third-party tracking cookies
- Disable Chrome's ad tracking APIs (Topics, FLEDGE, ad measurement)
- Send the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal to every site
- Prevent WebRTC from leaking your real IP address

Link Protection
- Hover over shortened links (bit.ly, t.co, etc.) to see where they actually go
- Automatically strip tracking parameters (utm_source, fbclid, gclid) from URLs
- Remove click-tracking redirects from Google and Facebook search results

Cookie & Storage Cleanup
- Automatically delete cookies from sites you haven't visited recently
- Clear cookies when you close a tab, with smart login detection to keep you signed in
- Remove first-party analytics cookies (_ga, _fbp, etc.) and clear stale site storage

Health Monitor
- Scans your installed extensions and flags risky permission combinations

Two interfaces, one extension
The popup gives you a simple dashboard with category toggles. The full settings page gives you individual control over every feature, with sidebar navigation and a light/dark/system theme picker.
