How to use Discord Chat Exporter

1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar.  
2. Open Discord in Chrome (https://discord.com) and log in to your account.  
3. Navigate to the server channel or direct message you want to export.  
4. Click the extension icon to open the popup. The popup detects your active channel (refresh if needed).  
5. Click “Open export workspace” to launch the export workspace in a new tab.  
6. Set start and end dates for the message range you want.  
7. Click “Start export” and wait while messages are collected.  
8. When finished, save your archive as HTML, TXT, CSV, JSON, or XLSX, and optionally download media attachments to a folder on your disk.  
Tips for a successful export

- Stay logged into Discord in the same browser profile.  
- Keep the original Discord channel tab open (or reopen it) while exporting.  
- If the popup cannot connect, refresh the Discord tab once and try again.  
- Large channels may take longer; use pause/resume if you need to stop temporarily.
