WHAT YOU GET
- Drag-select OCR on any page - capture exactly the region you want.
- Works offline out of the box. The built-in Tesseract engine runs entirely in your browser; nothing leaves your device.
- Bring your own AI (optional). Add an OpenAI, Claude (Anthropic), or Grok (xAI) API key in settings and BOxtract uses that model for higher-accuracy reading, every language, and on-demand "Translate to English".
- Layout preserved. Line breaks, columns, and spacing come through intact.
- One-click copy.

PRIVACY
- Default mode is fully offline - the capture never leaves your browser.
- If you add an AI key, the captured image is sent only to the provider you chose, on your own account, to extract the text. BOxtract runs no servers and collects no data. Your key is stored only in your browser.
