Dislike Button for IG adds a public, shared dislike counter to every Instagram post, right next to the like button. Inspired by the legendary Return YouTube Dislikes, it brings honest, collective feedback back to your feed.

We built this with privacy as the foundation, not an afterthought:
- No account, no login, no sign-up
- No name, email, or Instagram username collected
- No browsing history tracked
- Your identity is a random anonymous ID stored locally in your browser
- IP addresses are hashed (SHA-256) and used only to prevent abuse
- One-click full data deletion, anytime, GDPR compliant

The extension only reads the public post URL from your active tab when you choose to vote. It never accesses the Instagram API, never scrapes content, and never automates any action on your behalf.
