The group of crustaceans crawling on the rocks are Spiny Lobsters (Palinuridae family). As a marine biologist, my research on these animals has focused on their fascinating sensory abilities and their unique physical makeup. Unlike true lobsters, this family is notable for its lack of large, crushing claws; instead, they rely on a powerful tail and a tough, spiny exoskeleton for defense.

Their most prominent feature is their long, thick antennae, which they use to sense their surroundings and detect predators. These nocturnal creatures are found in rocky crevices and coral reefs throughout the world's oceans, where they scavenge for food and hide from danger. Their hardy nature and defensive spines make them formidable residents of their marine habitats.
