SPOILER-SAFE BY DESIGN
This is the part that matters. You are never shown a comment pinned later than where you are in the episode. The spoiler rule is enforced three separate times — at the database query, on incoming live updates, and again right before anything is drawn to your screen — so future comments physically cannot reach you. Start a series a week late and the timeline stays clean.
