    description
ClipHutch is a Chrome extension that detects videos and still images as web
pages load them and lets you save supported media to your computer.

Click the toolbar icon to see what media has been detected on the current tab.
ClipHutch can detect direct video files, larger still images, HLS playlists,
and DASH manifests. Click Download to save a file via Chrome's built-in
download manager, or to locally assemble/convert supported streams into a
      playable file.

Detection, preview display, conversion, and downloading happen on your device.

      WHAT'S DETECTED
      - Direct video files served by web pages
      - Larger still images loaded or referenced by the page
      - HLS streaming playlists (.m3u8)
      - DASH streaming manifests (.mpd)

      PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN
ClipHutch requests 5 Chrome API permissions:
      webRequest, storage, downloads, offscreen, and
      declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess.

It does not request the scripting API, tabs permission, browsingData
permission, notifications permission, downloads.open permission, or
      unlimitedStorage permission.

ClipHutch uses a limited declared content script to read image URL attributes
already present in page markup so still images can appear in the toolbar count
and popup without requiring you to click each image first.

WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO
      - Send URLs, page titles, hostnames, filenames, or browsing activity to any
      server
      - Track usage or include analytics
      - Use the scripting API to inject arbitrary code
      - Bypass logins, paywalls, DRM, encryption, or access controls
      - Decrypt encrypted media streams

      PRIVACY
The free tier never contacts a server operated by the developer. The licensed
tier contacts a license-validation endpoint at activation and at most once
every 7 days. No URLs, page content, or download history is ever transmitted.

    - Track usage or include analytics
    - Use the scripting API to inject arbitrary code
    - Request tabs, browsingData, notifications, downloads.open, or unlimitedStorage permissions

    LIMITS
This extension only works with supported, accessible media that the page loads in a compatible format. It does not bypass logins, paywalls, DRM, encryption, access controls, or private permissions. It cannot decrypt encrypted media streams.

    PERMISSIONS
The extension requests these Chrome API permissions: webRequest, storage, downloads, offscreen, and declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess.
