Eye Break Reminder is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to help users protect their eyes and maintain healthy work habits by encouraging regular rest breaks. With a modern, minimal popup interface, users can set a work interval and a short break duration to create a simple, repeatable routine during long sessions of screen time.

When the timer is started, the extension counts down the work session and then shows a clear “Break time” screen to prompt the user to pause, relax, and look away from the screen. An optional gentle chime can be enabled to provide a soft audio cue when a break begins. Settings are kept only to remember the user’s preferred timing and are not shared or sent anywhere.

All functionality runs locally in the browser and does not collect, transmit, or sell any user data. The extension does not track browsing activity or website content.
