  This Chrome extension addresses a persistent bug in YouTube's web interface where videos don't consistently get marked as "watched" in your watch history, even after viewing them completely. While this feature works reliably on mobile and TV apps, the web version often fails to update the red progress bar to show completion status.

  A checkmark button in the player lets you instantly mark any video as watched. Or enable auto-mark to have it happen automatically when playback ends.
  
  ✔ BETTER SEARCH RESULTS
  Optionally filter search results to the current year to reduce noise and surface more relevant content.
  
  ✔ HIDE WHAT YOU DON'T WANT
  Hide fully watched videos from your History page with a single click. Auto-hide Shorts sections and Members-only videos from your feed.
  
  ✔ PLAYLIST PROGRESS
  A compact panel on any playlist page shows your watch completion: videos watched, time remaining, and a progress bar.
  
  ✔ CLEANER WATCH LATER
  Strip playlist tracking parameters from Watch Later links so videos open directly, without being locked to the playlist queue.
  
  Everything is optional — enable only what you want from the Settings page.
