About

ProSync Assembee Monitor is a workplace productivity tool that helps organizations understand how work time is spent across browser tabs. It is intended for employees and teams who have opted into their company's ProSync workspace.
What it does
Once you are logged in to your ProSync account and clocked in on the ProSync Monitoring dashboard, the extension measures how long you actively spend on work-related browser tabs (30 seconds or more). It reports the tab's domain and path, the time spent, and your active or idle state to your organization's ProSync backend so time can be summarized in your dashboard. Clocking out stops all tracking immediately.
Why you should install it
If your team uses ProSync to track work time, this extension removes manual time-logging. It automatically attributes active browser time to the right work context and gives you and your managers an accurate, low-effort picture of where work hours go.
Privacy — what is NOT collected

Query strings and URL fragments (for example ?token=, ?code=, #section) are stripped before anything is sent.
Cookies, form inputs, keystrokes, and page contents are never collected.
Incognito tabs are never tracked (blocked at the manifest level).
Sensitive sites such as banking, government, healthcare, password managers, and personal email are bucketed as "private" with no path recorded.

How data is used
Captured activity is sent only to your organization's own ProSync backend to build your productivity dashboard. Data handling is covered by our privacy policy.
Permissions and why we need them

tabs — to detect which tab is active and how long it is focused.
idle — to pause tracking when you step away from your computer.
storage — to save your ProSync app and API settings locally.
alarms — to schedule periodic heartbeats and syncs.
scripting — to read your ProSync session and clock-in state on the ProSync web app.
cookies — to authenticate with your ProSync backend using your existing session.
host permissions — limited to your ProSync app and API domains; access to any other domain is requested only when you explicitly add it in the popup.

Getting started

Install the extension.
Log in to your ProSync web app in the same browser.
Click "Start Monitoring" (clock in) on your ProSync dashboard.
Tracking begins automatically; clock out any time to stop.
