ChatGPT Model Usage Counter is a lightweight, privacy-first extension that gives you clear visibility into your local ChatGPT usage — right inside the ChatGPT page, with nothing sent to any server.

It automatically counts the prompts you submit on ChatGPT and organizes them by the exact model you used and by date, so you always know how much you are using each model.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- See per-model prompt counts over any date range you pick.
- Compare models on a daily usage line chart with a multi-select legend.
- Expand any model to view request parameters (reasoning effort, verbosity, temperature, tools…), recognized features (Deep Research, Agent Mode, image generation, web search, realtime voice, canvas), and an index of the conversations behind the numbers.
- Check ChatGPT-web-related OpenAI service status at a glance.
- See your current ChatGPT plan when the page exposes it.

EXPORT YOUR CONVERSATIONS
Select one or more conversations (your selection is kept across pages) and export them as JSON, Markdown, PDF, DOCX, or PNG. PDF, Word and PNG are rendered like ChatGPT's own reading layout — headings, bold, lists, tables and code blocks are properly formatted, and Chinese / CJK text displays correctly. Files are saved locally through Chrome downloads.

PRIVACY-FIRST — 100% LOCAL
- Everything is stored in your browser via chrome.storage.local. There is no publisher server and nothing is uploaded.
- Stored statistics may include model names, parameters, feature tags, timestamps, page title/URL, conversation ID, prompt length, and a prompt hash.
- It never stores raw prompts, raw responses, passwords, cookies, authorization headers, or access tokens.
- Conversation content is read only for the conversations you select, and only when you click export.
- The status view fetches public data from status.openai.com only.

These are local usage records observed on ChatGPT pages — not OpenAI's official billing, quota, rate limits, or token usage. Use it for personal review and archiving.
