## What it does
- Side‑by‑side comparison: Open multiple AI sites at once to compare responses in parallel.
- One prompt, many answers: Type your question once and send it to all active sites. Quickly iterate and switch layouts as you go.
- Pop‑out on demand: Open any embedded site in a dedicated, centered popup window for full focus.
- Smart link handling in embeds: Links clicked inside embedded pages open safely in a new popup/tab, avoiding COOP/CSP issues.
- Seamless navigation: Copy URL, reload, close, paginate through sites, and control the layout with one click.

## Key features
- Flexible layouts: Choose 2, 3, 4 (2×2 or 4×1), or 6‑panel layouts to match your workflow.
- Fast popout: The “Popout” control opens the current site in a focused popup window. Links inside embedded frames can be opened the same way.
- Robust embedding: Automatic handling of X‑Frame‑Options and CSP frame‑ancestors for content framed within the extension UI (Firefox). If a site refuses to embed, a friendly fallback lets you open it in a popup or a new tab.
- Smart link interception: Links clicked within iframes are routed through the background script to avoid opener/COOP conflicts and open cleanly in a popup or new tab. Optimized behaviors for Airtable (grid and card views).
- Keyboard shortcuts: Navigate faster with Alt+Shift+M to toggle, Alt+Shift+Left/Right to change pages, Alt+Shift+Up/Down to expand/collapse the control bar, and Esc to close.
- Search from anywhere: Use the context‑menu action (right‑click → “MultiLLM Search for…”) or the address bar keyword (omnibox) to open the comparison view with your query.
- Customizable sites: Enable/disable, reorder groups, and add your own sites. Sites can also accept a query via URL templates.
- Privacy‑first: Runs locally in your browser. No analytics or external services are required. Permissions are used only to deliver core features (tabs, storage, webNavigation, optional webRequest for framing headers within the extension UI).

## How it works
1) Open the comparison view from the extension button, context menu, or omnibox (e.g., `ml your question`).
2) Choose a layout and enter your question. Optionally auto‑execute across sites.
3) Interact with each site in place or use Popout for a dedicated window.
4) Click links inside embedded pages—MultiLLM opens them safely in a popup/new tab to keep your session uninterrupted.

## Compatibility
- Works with the most popular AI sites. You can add custom sites too.
- Some sites may block embedding; when that happens, a helpful overlay offers to open the site in a popup or a new tab.
