Changelog
- May 30, 2026description
Orb Tabs helps you manage crowded Chrome sessions with a visual map of your open tabs. Instead of hunting through a long tab strip, Orb Tabs groups your tabs by domain and shows them as an orbit-style map in Chrome’s side panel. You can quickly see what sites are open, focus on a domain, search for a tab, sort tabs, and group related tabs. What Orb Tabs does: • Visualizes open tabs by domain • Opens inside Chrome’s side panel • Helps you find tabs faster • Lets you focus on tabs from one website • Supports sorting and grouping • Helps clean up crowded browsing sessions Orb Tabs is built for people who work with many tabs: researchers, builders, students, traders, operators, and anyone who regularly ends up with too many open pages. Privacy-first design: Orb Tabs uses your current tab information only to display and manage tabs inside the extension. It does not sell your data, does not use your data for advertising, and does not send your tab data to third-party services.
Orb Tabs — see every domain you've got open, at a glance. When your tab strip becomes a wall of identical favicons, a longer vertical list doesn't help. Orb Tabs groups every open tab into orbits around its domain — and the layout scales, so you can see 100+ domains in a single view without scrolling. Open the side panel with Ctrl+Shift+Space (Mac: Cmd+Shift+Space), spot the orb you want, click to jump. Built for researchers, developers, students, and anyone running 50+ tabs across dozens of sites. What it does 🪐 Visual orbit map — every domain becomes an orb, every tab orbits its domain 🔭 Scales to 100+ domains in one side-panel view — no scrolling through endless lists ⌨️ Open in one keystroke — Ctrl+Shift+Space (rebindable in chrome://extensions/shortcuts) 🔍 Instant search across every open tab 🗂️ One-click "group by domain" — turns chaos into native Chrome tab groups in a single click 🖱️ Right-click any orb to close a single tab, or close every tab on that domain at once 🔒 Privacy-first — no data collection, no third-party sharing, no account required On the roadmap: saved workspaces, light/dark themes, auto-collapse for inactive domains. Following along? The dev reads every review — leave one and shape what ships next. Free. Works offline. Made for power-tab people.
