What it does

YouTube Dual Subtitles shows the original subtitle and its translation on screen at the same time, so you can follow the content and learn the language in the same breath. Pause anytime to study a line, save the words you don't know, and come back to them later.

Pause to reveal — keep just the original while playing, and reveal the translation the moment you pause.
Pause OCR translation — translate text that's burned into the video (hardcoded subtitles, on-screen signs, slides). Pause the video and the extension reads the pixels and translates them on the spot — something most paid tools charge extra for.
One-tap vocabulary — select or click any subtitle word to save it together with its full sentence, the video title, a clickable timestamp, and its translation. Build your personal word bank as you watch.
Vocabulary manager — search, browse with pagination, and export everything to CSV for Anki or your own review workflow. Your words, your data.
 
Themes & layout — pick from multiple high-contrast color themes, adjust font size, line spacing, and background opacity, and freely drag and resize the subtitle box anywhere on the player.
