Cenote helps you stay focused while studying. Whether you need to block a few distracting sites or go into a fully locked-down study session, Cenote gives you the tools to do it.

PASSIVE MODE — ALWAYS-ON PROTECTION

Add any website to your personal block list and Cenote will redirect you away whenever you visit it. If you genuinely need to access a blocked site, you can request a temporary override — after a short countdown, the site opens and the block reinstates automatically.

FOCUS SESSIONS — DEEP WORK MODE

Start a focus session to activate a dedicated study environment: • All your existing tabs are safely saved and closed • A maximized focus window opens with only your allowed sites • Blocked sites are hard-blocked with no bypass option • A tab strip keeps everything organized inside the session window • Your time on each site is tracked automatically

When the session ends, all your original tabs are restored exactly as you left them — the same windows, groups, and positions.

SAVE AND REUSE SESSIONS

Save your focus sessions to reuse them. Saved sessions remember which sites you allowed and are synced across your Chrome devices automatically.

SESSION SUMMARY

After every session you see a breakdown of how long you spent on each site during the session.

PRIVACY

Cenote runs entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device except through Chrome's built-in sync (if you have Chrome Sync enabled), which stores your sessions and settings in your own Google account. No external servers, no accounts, no tracking.
