Simple Regex Tester is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to help users quickly test and validate regular expressions directly from the browser.

The extension provides a clean and modern interface where users can enter a regex pattern, choose common flags (such as global, ignore case, multiline, dotAll, and unicode), and instantly see matching results. Matches are highlighted in real time, making it easy to understand how a regular expression behaves against the input text.

In addition to basic matching, the extension also displays captured groups, match indexes, and total match counts. Users can preview replacement results using $1, $2, and other capture group references, and easily copy the output or match data when needed.

All processing is performed locally inside the browser popup. The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. It does not require any special permissions and works entirely offline.
