About
ChatBar opens ChatGPT in Chrome's side panel and adds a small toolbar below the composer so you can attach a screenshot of your current browser tab to a ChatGPT message. Click Screenshot now to capture the visible tab and attach it to your current ChatGPT message. You can also turn on Auto screenshot to capture and attach the current page before sending. ChatBar is user-controlled. Screenshots are captured only when you click Screenshot now or send while Auto screenshot is enabled. ChatBar does not store screenshot history, does not run a backend server, and does not use analytics, telemetry, or tracking. Screenshots are pasted directly into ChatGPT, where ChatGPT handles upload, preview, removal, and sending. ChatBar is independent software and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI.
