Bookmark Palette is an Alfred-style command palette for your bookmarks. It appears centered over whatever page you're on, finds what you meant from a few keystrokes, and gets out of the way — no folders to click through, no bookmark bar clutter, no mouse required.

WHY PEOPLE KEEP IT

• Genuinely fast fuzzy search — matches across title, domain, and folder path at once, ranked by match quality and how often you actually open each bookmark ("frecency"). Your daily drivers surface after one keystroke, even in a 10,000-bookmark collection.

• The whole lifecycle, without leaving the keyboard — add the current page (with a fuzzy folder picker), rename, edit URLs, move between folders, reorder, and delete with a 5-second Undo that restores entire folders exactly where they were.

• A true overlay — the palette summons over the page you're reading, dims it, and closes the instant you're done. On pages Chrome protects (chrome://, the Web Store) it opens from the toolbar instead.

• An action menu with no chords to memorize — press Tab on any result: open in new tab, this tab, background, new window, or incognito; copy, rename, edit, move, delete — each one a single digit away.

• Power-user query language — site:github.com to filter by domain, in:work to filter by folder, is:recent to sort by date added, and > commands (>add, >manage, >settings). Plus an omnibox keyword: type "bm" in the address bar.

• A full manager page for spring cleaning — folder tree, multi-select, bulk move and delete, drag-and-drop reordering, inline rename.

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION

No account. No analytics. Zero network calls — everything runs locally, and the code makes no requests to any server, ever. Your bookmarks stay in Chrome's own bookmark store, so Chrome Sync keeps working exactly as before, and if you uninstall the extension you lose nothing.

Permissions are minimal: bookmarks (the whole point), storage (your settings), favicon (Chrome's local icon cache — no network), and activeTab + scripting so the palette can appear over the page — only at the moment you summon it, never in the background.
