  Paginaut is a productivity extension that combines screenshot tools and text tools in one lightweight package.
  
  ### Screenshot tools
  - Capture current screen (viewport)
  - **Full page (default):** scroll the tab and stitch viewport screenshots (no debugger); optional **legacy full page** via Chrome DevTools Protocol when enabled in Options
  - Very tall pages may save as multiple numbered PNGs to Downloads with an in-extension preview (multipart mode)
  - Capture selected region
  - Save as PNG, JPG, or WEBP
  - Copy image directly to clipboard
  
  ### Text tools
  - **Text Grab (OCR)** from a selected screen region (same drag-to-select flow as region capture)
  - **QR code reader:** select a region that contains a QR code; decode runs locally with bundled **jsQR**; result opens in a dedicated window with **Copy** and **Save .txt** (optional feature flag in Options, like OCR)
  - **Character count:** optional clipboard paste into an editor with live stats (words, characters, paragraphs, lines, whitespace breakdown, UTF-8 length, approximate reading time); toggle in Options
  - Local OCR flow using bundled assets (Tesseract)
  - Save extracted / decoded text as .txt
  - Copy extracted / decoded text to clipboard
  
  ### Region selection UX
  - For **region capture**, **Text Grab**, and **QR code reader**, the in-page overlay includes the top hint bar (**Capture** / **Cancel**) plus **confirm (✓)** and **cancel (✕)** controls anchored to the bottom-right of the selection box
  
  ### Transliteration
  - Convert between Latin and Cyrillic scripts
  - Automatic script detection mode
  - Manual target script selection
  
  ### Customization
  - **Popup layout:** drag-and-drop tool order in Options (Favorites, Screenshot, Text columns) with the same per-tool enable/disable checkboxes as before
  - Feature flags in Options page (enable/disable each major feature)
  - UI localization (English and Serbian)
  - Language override in Options (Auto/browser, English, Serbian)
  
  ### Privacy-first behavior
  - Processing is performed locally inside the extension (full page defaults to **scroll-based stitching**; optional legacy CDP path — **no cloud screenshot service**)
