Markdown Anything turns any content into clean, structured markdown you can paste straight into AI tools, coding agents, or note-taking apps.

── WHAT IT DOES ──

• Page → Extracts the article text and page structure using Mozilla Readability, then generates a frontend replication spec or article summary via your chosen AI model.

• Image → Captures the visible tab as a screenshot (or right-click any image) and produces a UI build prompt ready for Cursor, v0, or React developers.

• Video → Samples up to 6 frames from YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or Facebook Reels and generates a video regeneration prompt for Sora, Runway, Kling, and similar tools.

• File → Convert PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, or CSV files to markdown entirely inside your browser. No data is uploaded anywhere.

── SETUP ──

1. Get a free API key at openrouter.ai/keys
2. Click the extension icon → Settings → paste your key → Test connection
3. Open any tab and click Generate

The default model is NVIDIA Nemotron Nano Omni (free tier on OpenRouter). You can switch to any multimodal model in Settings.

── PRIVACY ──

Your API key and results are stored only in Chrome's local storage on your device. Content is sent to OpenRouter only when you click Generate — never automatically. File conversions run entirely offline in your browser. See the full privacy policy linked below.
