Notes for tabs lets you capture rich-text notes that stay with the website — not the page URL. Notes on docs.github.com and github.com live together under github.com, so your context follows the site wherever you browse.

Format notes with bold, italic, headings, bullet and numbered lists, and links. Changes auto-save as you type.

All-notes browser
The sidebar and settings page list every note across domains, with search, grouping, and quick access to edit or delete.

Export your data
Download all notes as a Markdown file from Settings — your data stays yours.

Private & local-first
Notes are stored only in your browser using chrome.storage.local. No account, no cloud sync, no tracking. Nothing leaves your device.

Choose light, dark, or system appearance, plus adjustable font size.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Install Notes for tabs and pin it to your toolbar.
2. Browse any website and click the extension icon.
3. Create a note — it’s saved to that site’s domain.
4. Come back anytime; your notes are waiting.
