  Social Feed Purifier helps make socials (we start with Facebook) calmer, cleaner, and easier to read.
  
  It detects sponsored feed posts using local DOM signals, post structure, call-to-action patterns, link cards, media URL patterns, and an adaptive classifier that runs entirely in your browser. It does not rely only on the visible “Sponsored” label, because that label is often obfuscated.
  
  The extension currently supports Facebook feeds.

  How detection works:
  
  Social Feed Purifier uses a hybrid local detector. It looks for structural and semantic signals such as Facebook ad DOM attributes, ad-rendering roles, CTA buttons, ad-like link cards, commercial phrases, ad creative URL patterns, and the presence or absence of normal organic post structure. It then assigns a local score and decides whether to hide, mark as suspicious, or leave the post visible.
  
  Hidden posts are replaced by a compact placeholder. You can preview the hidden post, undo the hide, or mark it as a false positive. If something unwanted escapes detection, use the Feedback section in the popup to choose the post type and click the post in the feed. The correction stays on your device and improves future local decisions.

  The extension does not click ads
  Detection and learning run locally in your browser
  Settings, counters, classifier weights, and feedback samples are stored locally in Chrome storage

  Default behavior is conservative: sponsored-post filtering is enabled, while broader feed cleanup filters are opt-in so you decide how aggressive the cleanup should be.
