View the transcript of any YouTube video right where you are watching it. Transcript Panel adds an in-page sidebar that shows the video's captions as a clean, searchable, click-to-seek transcript. Click any line to jump to that moment, and the active line highlights as the video plays.

Need more than viewing? One click hands off to ConvertAudioToText to translate the transcript, download it as SRT or VTT, or generate an AI transcript for videos that have no captions.

This extension is unofficial and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
- Single purpose: Show the captions/transcript of the YouTube video the user is currently watching, in an in-page panel that is searchable and click-to-seek.
- Permission justification (host access): Access to youtube.com is required to read and display the caption track of the video the user is watching. No other sites are accessed and no broad API permissions (tabs, storage, scripting) are used.
- Remote code: No (all scripts bundled).
- Data usage: No data collected. Certify all three boxes. Free-text: This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. It reads the current video's captions in memory to display them and discards them on navigation.
