About
PSYOP Radar helps you notice when posts are written to shock, divide, or emotionally manipulate you – instead of simply inform you. The extension quietly scans visible text on the page for common psy-op style patterns: over-the-top headlines, vague “sources say” claims, fear-baiting, war hype, “wake up sheeple” language, and other narrative tricks often used in propaganda and viral outrage posts. When PSYOP Radar detects this kind of language, it: Blurs the text automatically so you don’t absorb it at a glance Adds a small 🚩 “PSY-OP?” badge beside the post Lets you reveal or hide the text with an 👁 toggle, so you choose when to read it Plays a subtle ping sound when new flagged content appears (optional by muting your tab) Can show an optional “buy the creator a coffee” popup with a QR code to support development The goal isn’t to tell you what to think – it’s to slow things down so you can decide: “Do I really want to read this, or just scroll past?” Key features 🧠 Focus on intent, not ideology Flags manipulative style (fearbait, vague sources, hype, outrage hooks), not specific political positions or keywords from one side. 👁️ Blur-by-default Posts that match psy-op style patterns are blurred, with a clear red outline. Click the 👁 button to toggle blur on/off. 🔔 Subtle alerts A small banner and a soft ping let you know when PSYOP Radar has detected something on the page. 💻 Local, lightweight, and private All analysis happens inside your browser. The extension doesn’t need extra permissions and doesn’t send page content to any server. ☕ Optional support A simple “If PSYOP Radar helps clear your feed, consider donating a coffee” popup can appear with a QR code. Close it with one click. How it works (non-technical) PSYOP Radar checks each visible text block for: Hype hooks like “THIS CLIP IS ACTUALLY INSANE” Vague sourcing like “allegedly filmed this week” or “people are saying” Fear language about crowds, war build-up, and “hostile warnings” Classic “they don’t want you to know this” mystery-bait phrasing Shouty ALL-CAPS + multiple “!!” + alarm emojis If a post looks like that, PSYOP Radar treats it as psy-op style messaging and gives you the choice to either skip it or open it consciously. Disclaimer PSYOP Radar is a personal awareness tool, not a fact-checker or classifier of real government/military operations. Flagging a post does not mean it is false, nor does ignoring a post mean it is true. Always use your own judgment and multiple sources.
