WHAT IT DOES

Edit Text in Image — AI is a side-panel editor that connects to edittextimage.com so you can replace text on screenshots, thumbnails, posters, product photos, AI-generated art, menus and more — without rebuilding the design.

Two ways to use it:

  1. Right-click any image on any webpage → "Edit text in this image" → the side panel opens with the image pre-loaded. Type the original text, type the replacement, click Generate. Result back in about 10 seconds at 2K resolution.

  2. Click the toolbar icon → drop your own image into the side panel → same flow. Works with PNG, JPEG, WebP up to 10 MB.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT FROM CANVA / PHOTOSHOP / IMGFLIP

Most editors require the original design file. If you don't have the .psd / .ai / .canva source, you have to:

  • identify the font (10 minutes via WhatTheFont)
  • license + install it
  • content-aware-fill the old text out
  • retype with proper kerning + spacing
  • color-match by eye

Edit Text in Image — AI samples the typography from the visible pixels and re-renders the new text in the exact same font, weight, color and drop shadow — automatically. No font ID, no installation, no manual matching. The rest of the image stays bit-identical.

PRIVACY

The extension shares your edittextimage.com browser session — no separate account, no second sign-in. Uploaded images go to edittextimage.com's storage (Cloudflare R2) and are deleted after 7 days. We don't sell data, don't train AI models on your uploads, and don't show ads.
