Watch IPL cricket on Hotstar or JioHotstar and want a richer, more readable scorecard than the broadcaster's bottom-bar ticker? This extension overlays a clean, draggable scorecard on every live cricket match page — fixed-height, anchored to the right edge, out of the way of the player controls.

WHAT YOU GET
• A live status line showing the match summary (e.g. "CSK need 37 runs in 35 balls").
• A two-column scorecard with both teams side-by-side. Team batting first on the left, team batting second on the right. When only one team has batted, the active team takes the full width — no wasted space.
• Per-team batting card: every batter who has faced a ball, with R / B / strike rate. Dismissed players show their dismissal text in italics underneath. The currently-batting batters are starred ("on strike" gets a green dot). The Did-Not-Bat tail is collapsed into a single line at the bottom.
• Per-team bowling card: O / R / W / Econ for every bowler in the innings.
• Last 6 balls strip in the top section, with 4s, 6s, and wickets colour-coded.
• Auto-refresh every ~20 seconds while the match is live.

KEYBOARD SHORTCUT
Press J on the Hotstar page to toggle the overlay. (No modifier keys, doesn't fire while you're typing in an input.)

DRAG & RESIZE
Drag the header to reposition. Click — to collapse to a slim title-bar. Click × to hide; J brings it back.

WHERE IT WORKS
The overlay auto-injects on `hotstar.com` and `jiohotstar.com` URLs that match the cricket-match pattern (e.g. `/sports/cricket/csk-vs-mi/.../live/watch`). It does nothing on any other Hotstar page.

DATA SOURCE
All scorecard data comes from publicly available pages on ESPN Cricinfo (`espncricinfo.com`). The extension fetches the IPL schedule and full-scorecard HTML pages from your browser, parses them, and renders the result locally. No server, no account, no API key. The overlay's footer includes a clickable "view on Cricinfo" link that deep-links to the match's scorecard page so you can verify the data and credit the source.

PRIVACY
The extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. It does not run analytics. It only reads the URL of the active cricket-match page (to know which match's data to fetch). Full privacy policy is linked below.

KNOWN LIMITS
• Hardcoded to the IPL 2026 series for this v1.0 release; future versions will discover the active series automatically.
• Only the 10 IPL franchises are recognised by their short codes today.
• Cricinfo's schedule endpoint occasionally lags the live broadcast by a few seconds.
• A future update will add a settings popup, and possibly Cricbuzz as a fallback data source.
